10か月間本校で学んだオーストラリア・マウント・アルバーニア・カレッジからの留学生、ジゼルさんが帰国しました。

滞在中、ジゼルさんは日本語力を大きく伸ばし、日本での生活を積極的に楽しんでいました。美術部の友達と過ごす時間や相撲の練習、ホストファミリーと一緒に地元の観光地を訪れることが特に楽しかったそうです。

留学生を受け入れることは、留学生にとってだけでなく、ホストファミリーの子どもたちにとっても貴重な経験になります。異文化に触れることで、視野が広がり、新たな興味や関心が芽生えることもあります。

Last week, we said goodbye to Giselle, our exchange student from Mount Alvernia College in Australia, who spent the past 10 months studying at our school.

During her stay, Giselle made incredible progress in her Japanese and fully embraced life in Japan. In her free time, she especially enjoyed spending time with friends in the art club, training for sumo tournaments, and exploring local sightseeing spots with her host families.

Hosting an international student brings many benefits—not just for the student, but for the host family too. It opens children’s eyes to new cultures, ways of thinking, and interests they may not have encountered before.

We thank all the families who supported Giselle and encourage more families to consider hosting in the future, as new opportunities will continue to arise.
