アメリカでの10か月間の留学を終えた生徒が帰国しました。

留学中は現地での学校生活だけでなく、スポーツや音楽活動、ホストファミリーとの旅行など、さまざまなことに積極的に挑戦し、充実した毎日を過ごしました。英語力も大きく伸び、帰国後は自信を持って英語で経験を語る姿がとても印象的でした。

帰国を楽しみにしていた一方で、アメリカで築いた友人やホストファミリーとの別れはとても寂しかったようで、日本に戻れた喜びとアメリカが恋しい気持ちの両方を抱えながら帰国しました。それほど実りの多い留学生活だったことが伝わってきます。

本校のアメリカ長期留学プログラムは、海外研修・留学プログラムの中で最も長い歴史を持ち、今年で17年目を迎えました。これまで温かく生徒を受け入れてくださっているホストファミリーの皆様、そして提携校であるSaint Mary’s Catholic High Schoolの皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。

これからもアリゾナ州の素晴らしい提携校へ、多くの生徒たちを送り出せることを楽しみにしています。

This week, we welcomed home one of our students after completing a ten-month exchange program in the United States.

During his time abroad, he embraced every opportunity available to him. From participating in school sports and musical performances to travelling with his host family and experiencing everyday American life, he made the most of every moment. His English improved tremendously, and it was wonderful to hear him confidently share his experiences after returning to Japan.

Although he was excited to be back home, he also returned with mixed emotions, already missing his host family, friends, and life in the United States. It was clear that his exchange experience had been truly life-changing.

Our long-term exchange program with Saint Mary’s Catholic High School in Arizona is the longest-running international program offered by Nigawa Gakuin and is now in its 17th year. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our wonderful host families and our partner school for continuing to provide our students with such an unforgettable opportunity.

We look forward to sending many more students to our outstanding partner school in Arizona in the years to come.
